i showed my son your reply and he says thankyou. what you said is just how he feels, he says he would rather have his youth and a decent quality of life now rather than wait till he is older. we will keep on at his specialists in the hope that they relent and operate on him. i am sure if they were in constant pain they would want somebody to do something for them!
