its quite heartbreaking reading some of these messages. i often go onto this sight as my son had perthes when he was 9yr old he is 18 now and suffers terrible pain, not just in his hip but also his lower back his knees and now the pain travels right down his shin bone. when he is feeling down and tired i will find some other peoples stories and print the off for him to read it shows him he is not alone and reading the way other people deal with their lives can quite often helps him to keep his spirits up. a lot of doctors i have come accross dont really appreciate the pain that can be suffered by people who have had perthes at least this sight lets you know that pain does occur and that its not just your imagination as we wereonce told!! so any way keep your spirits up everybody out there
