: Hi, everyone!
: I have an 8 year old son with LCP in his right hip. He was diagnosed in 8/2001. He has had 2 surgeries in 2002. The cutting of the tendon and a pelvic osteotomy. He is not improving and is in so much pain. The doctor would like to do another surgery, called a capsulotomy. I would just like to hear from anyone who has had these surgeries and their outcome.
: We go back to the Specialist on 10-24-03. To talk surgery or what?
: Please if anyone has any insight, please e-mail me.
: Thank You,
: Julie
Hi Julie: What were his symptoms before the surgery? Did he have pain, limping, leg length discrepancy? Our son (5 yo) is scheduled for a pelvic osteotemy (triple) on 12/10. Currently, he has no symptoms but has 100% femoral head involvement with flattening and a large metaphyseal cyst. I don't know what to expect but will advise of the outcome. What did you decide to do?
