Our 10 yr old son's growth plate has been damaged and we are told he will not have any further bone growth on his upper femur. What else can be done besides our Dr's suggestion of possibly shutting down the growth plate on the other leg to minimize the length descrepancy? He already has an 2 cm shoe lift. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you and we wish everyone of you the best possible recoveries.
