Hello there, I'm so pleased that we found this message board! Our daughter was diagnosed about a month ago after we thought she had pulled ligaments in her knee from a fall on her bike. After the pain and the limping did not go away an x-ray showed perthes. Then a second opinon MRI showed perthes! So we have had a long couple of weeks here. I recieved and invitation to the support group but for some reason I cannot accesss it. Any help would be apprieciated!!!!! Anyways, our 7year old daughter jocelyn is in therapy now but i'm having so many questions. The first being is why in the world did this happen but, all I have read seems like we are not doing what most are. She is in the theapy 3XS a week but she is allowed to bear weight on the leg. She has pain mostlly in the morning and night time and the perthes was obvious on the x-ray showing fractures so i'm wondering if she should be on it? If anyone can help us we would appreciate it so much . We want the best for her and the least amount of pain!Please e-mail at RBnPink219@aol.com with any comments or advise.
